AFRICAN FOOD WEEK
The African Food Week is an initiative that seeks to emphasize on the overall African food culture which includes the practices, attitudes and beliefs as well as the networks and institutions surrounding production, distribution, and consumption of the African food and ingredients across the globe.
African food week will as well bring all stakeholders who play various roles in the cultural setting of the African food to a common platform that will help solidify the food industry in Africa so ideas and other innovative strategies can be easily accessible to all interested individuals and organizations which will go a long way to placing the African food on the map.
Substantively the AFW will as much as possible maintain the beautiful indigenous food culture and change the unproductive ways we as Africans employ in our agricultural practices, thus throwing more light on sustainability, food conservation and also mechanizations, further enlightening the average African food consumer on the numerous indigenous ingredients at our disposal.
